Your presence here reflects the need to change the way our country and states are governed. Career politicians, many illiterate and with criminal backgrounds, define the policies that govern this country and states. Our founding fathers had a different vision of India when they wrote our constitution - a government that represents the people of the country, not a select few, and absolutely not the ones charged with serious crimes!
These career politicians have made running our country a business, where no one is held accountable. Common people, many with successful professional careers and subject matter expertise in running large organizations, stay as far away from the electoral politics as possible. We are made to fear - that is what rules this country today.
This needs to change, and you have the power to change it.
Padma Sri Dr. Jagdish Prasad
LSNP was established as a formal political party by Padma Shree Dr. Jagdish Prasad, former Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India.
Dr. Prasad is a world-renowned Cardiac Surgeon who led institutions like Safdarjung Hospital as Director and founding principle of the Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMCC) at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr. Prasad was honored with Padma Shree by the President of India in 1991 for his contributions to the medical science and enabling the poor of the country get best Cardiac care under his leadership at Safdarjung Hospital.
Dr. Prasad, while serving at high professional positions throughout his career, stayed connected to his roots, the poor people of this country in general and the less fortunate populous of his native state of Bihar, who he fought for throughout his career. The realization that the change needs to come from the top, the leadership of the country and state, he founded LSNP in 2022.
